Credentials & Verification

Every credential here is earned, reviewed, and verifiable.

VCN coaches, mentors, and program graduates carry credentials that a hiring manager, partner, or client can check for themselves — no guesswork, no self-published claims.

Our Standards

What it takes to carry a VCN credential.

Nothing is granted on request. Each standard below is checked by staff before a profile publishes and re-checked as standing is renewed.

Identity & service verification

Every coach, mentor, and speaker confirms identity and service or first-responder affiliation before a profile goes live.

Training & experience review

Coaching certifications, executive experience, and specialty areas are reviewed by staff — not self-published.

References & endorsements

Designations are backed by documented endorsements from cohort staff, clients, or partner organizations.

Ongoing standing

Credentials carry a review date. Inactive or unverified profiles are unpublished until standing is restored.

Swipe or use arrow keys to see all four standards.

Designations

One profile. Multiple designations.

A member holds a single outward-facing profile. Designations stack on top of it as they are earned.

01

Verified Coach

Identity and background verified, coaching experience reviewed, and an approved public profile in the VCN directory.

  • Directory listing
  • Discovery call availability
  • Bound by the VCN coaching agreement

02

Cohort Coach

Verified Coach standing plus assignment to a Veteran Leadership Accelerator cohort as a facilitating or accountability coach.

  • Facilitates weekly sessions
  • Reviews participant assignments
  • Signs off on capstone briefs

03

Mentor & Speaker

Endorsed for mentorship, panel service, or summit stages. A single profile can hold multiple designations at once.

  • Panel and summit eligibility
  • Mentor matching
  • Chapter and community events

  2. Step 2: Get reviewed and recognized

VCN staff verify identity, experience, and standing before any designation publishes.

  3. Step 3: Share a verifiable credential

Tell us about your organization and how you’d like to support veteran leaders. Our team reviews every inquiry before any sponsor is recognized publicly.

More summit photos and recap media will be added here as they become available.

Registry & verification

Look up any VCN credential.

One search, both directions: type a person or business name to find their credential number, or paste a number to confirm the holder and current standing.

Format: VCN-2026-AUG08-PNL-001 — year, event, role code (HST-SPK host-speaker, MOD moderator, PNL panelist, SPR sponsor, CCH coach, ECH executive coach, MTR mentor, AMB ambassador, STU student), then the number. Capitalization doesn’t matter. Numbers are assigned by platform owners and super admins only.

Holder names and credential numbers aren’t listed publicly. Type at least two characters of a name, business, or credential number above to look one up. No number? Search the coach directory — every published profile is a verified profile.

How it works

How verification works

Who receives one

Credentials are never self-serve. VCN staff issue them to summit speakers, moderators, panelists, business sponsors, verified coaches and mentors, and graduates who complete a VCN program. If you didn’t receive one from our credentialing team, you don’t have one.

What you get

Every holder gets a unique card number plus a public record page listing the title, issuing organization, issue date, provenance and current standing — active, expired or revoked. Private details are never published.

How to verify

Enter the card number above (or visit /credentials/<number>) to open the live record. Lookups are rate limited to prevent enumeration. No number? Search the published coach directory — every published profile is verified.

Credential holder? in five steps.
